The door frame is constructed of 1.5” solid angle aluminum providing a non binding or warping platform for hanging the solid aluminum door on an 11” wide by 15” opening. The moving joints are brass on aluminum with a bottom pivot. Overall size 14 3/8" wide by 18 1/8" tall plus 4 1/2" for the control box on top.
- When you are standing outside the coop looking at the door opening outward toward you, a "Left" door means you see the hinge on your left.
- The Photo sensor option still includes the internal timer if needed. If ordered with a door, it comes already attached to the door. It is very easy to add if added later.
- The door runs from any 12 volt DC power supply (optional). If you have a 12 volt battery already then you are set. Our battery will run the door for a month without recharging. The solar panel only requires an average of 2 hours per day of direct light to keep the battery charged. For wire length, the door has 8 ft of wire to the battery. From the battery the solar panel has 10 ft of wire and the trickle charger has 6 ft. For longer solar panel wires, purchase it separately under Accessories.
