Frequently Asked Questions
"Left" and "Right" refer to the side the hinges are on when you are standing outside the coop looking at the door. If you want the door to swing open to your left, choose a Left Swing door. If you need it to swing open to your right, choose a Right Swing.
If your coop gets direct sunlight, our Solar Kits are the most popular "set-it-and-forget-it" option. If your coop is in heavy shade or near an outlet, our Trickle Charger Kits or simple battery-operated setups are perfect. Every kit comes with the required photo sensor so your door opens at dawn and closes at dusk automatically.
Yes! While our doors easily screw directly into any flat-faced wooden coop, we know many keepers use plastic coops. You can mount our doors to any round/plastic coops, but you will need a simple wood frame or adapter. Give us a call at (512) 995-0058 and we can walk you through the setup.
